CLOUD ENGINEERING

Beyond locked-in environments into freedom of choice

Choosing cloud has always been about creating flexibility and greater freedom. Those advantages should stay with you when deciding where to host your data and solutions. Through Cloud Engineering, we build in the public cloud, on your own infrastructure, or in a hybrid setup, giving you the flexibility you need while maintaining control over critical workloads and sensitive data.

CLOUD ENGINEERING

Cloud Engineering – A strategic, technical, and business decision

As digital sovereignty, regulatory requirements, and security demands continue to evolve, you need to consider where your data resides, who controls it, and how dependent you want to be on a single cloud provider.

At Darize, we take a pragmatic approach to cloud strategy. Based on your risk appetite and long-term objectives, we help you select the cloud infrastructure that best fits your organization. This could, for example, be a solution where sensitive data remains under your control while you continue to benefit from the flexibility and scalability of the public cloud.

Our Cloud Engineering Services

Cloud infrastructure

We design and build cloud infrastructure across public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid environments. We work with Google Cloud, AWS, and particularly Microsoft Azure, while technologies such as VMware and OpenStack enable us to build private cloud environments. This gives you the flexibility to place data and workloads according to your requirements for data residency, security, and control.

We establish landing zones with defined frameworks for networking, security, and access management. Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), we define infrastructure that can be deployed and replicated consistently, with full traceability of changes.

Cloud architecture

We establish a joint architectural framework for your cloud environment, ensuring internal teams and external vendors work within the same principles rather than making individual infrastructure decisions.

The result is consistent operational and security standards, making it easier to maintain transparency and oversight across your environment.

Portability and exit strategy

We help you assess the time and cost involved in moving workloads and data between environments and providers. This provides greater visibility into vendor dependency and a stronger position when renegotiating agreements or relocating parts of your cloud environment.

customer perspective

“I have great respect for a supplier that dares to challenge the status quo and point to smarter ways of doing things. That is the essence of our collaboration with Darize.”

Focus on the content before the infrastructure

The public cloud has become a natural part of the IT landscape for many organizations, both public and private. It offers virtually unlimited capacity, makes it quick and cost-effective to establish new environments, and gives developers access to a wide range of services.

But public cloud also comes with challenges. When designing new solutions, not all data and workloads may be suitable for the public cloud due to security, data residency, or compliance requirements. And for existing solutions, changing requirements or risk assessments may make it necessary to move data and workloads to a different environment over time.

Our cloud engineering consultants help you move beyond an all-or-nothing approach to the public cloud and instead focus on what makes the most sense for your business.

The same solution may include highly business-critical or sensitive workloads that are better suited to a private cloud environment. At the same time, other workloads can run perfectly well in the public cloud, where capacity is more cost-effective and development moves faster than on your own infrastructure.

By taking this approach, you can place critical workloads where they belong, not just where they can run. In other words, you start with the data and workloads, then choose the infrastructure that best supports them.

This gives you the best of both worlds: control over sensitive data, confidence in your security posture, and the flexibility to use public and private cloud where they make the most sense. Most importantly, it makes it easier to move forward with new digital initiatives while meeting compliance requirements.
